Tis the season for giving and do I have a great personalized gift for you to give! It only takes 2 minutes and costs less than $5!

This is the easiest to make. I call it the "Snow Leopard Winter Mug".

All you have to do is go out and pick up some really inexpensive white dishes. I decided to try my luck at Cost Plus World Market. They had a great selection of white dishes just begging to be adorned.

I picked up a mug ($2.), a bowl ($10.), and a small serving platter ($3.). Any of these could make nice holiday gifts.

First, pull out your handy dandy Sharpie's. I used gold and black, but there are so many colors to choose from.

Then just think about what you'd like to adorn your dishes with. The "Snow Leopard" spots are super easy. Just intentionally scribble multiple spots in different sizes on the mug, leaving rough edges. It literally took me less than a minute!

The last step is to put your newly Sharpied wares in to a 150 degree oven for 30 minutes for the Sharpie color to set. You are now done!

On my bowl I tried a "Greek Key" pattern around the outside rim. As you can see, it's not perfect but it doesn't need to be.

On my platter I just outlined the top edge in gold and then drew a few leaves and berries in the opposite corners.

You can get as creative as you want with as many colors as you want. Here is an example of a poem written on a dinner plate. There are SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!

You can bring a bowl or platter filled with cookies or fruit as a great holiday hostess gift or wrap up a personalized mug to put under the tree.

Have fun drawing!..Lori
