A few weeks ago one of my blog readers sent me a hot tip about a place she thought I might like...She was right!

Bazaar Gilman is truly a grand bazaar.

Sitting just across from Berkeley Bagel on Gilman Street on a lot that used to sell pottery, it is now tented and plumb full of all kinds of treasures.

There are bins filled with great stuff like these gold aluminum molded letters (much better than any you'll find elsewhere) for only 2 to 3 dollars each,

Shelves full of sterling silver,

crystal decanters and colored glass items for between 5 and 10 dollars (these two silver leafed vases would be great with candles in them as part of a holiday centerpiece)

antique bone handled knives,

and SO MUCH MORE!

Nicole, the charming owner of Bazaar Gilman, opened up in February of this year as a community marketplace for revitalized, unique, and handmade treasures...That it is.

As I was leaving the Bazaar, she informed me that she was just starting to put out the holiday decor items that will be for sale. I previewed some, and let me tell you they are fit for a castle. Large paper mache tin soldiers, huge wreaths, and more...they appeared to be just off the set of The Nutcracker!

Check it out!
