Great New Mid Mod Shop + More!

Posted by Lori Pepe-Lunche on Friday, August 31, 2012, In : New Shops

I found a great new resource for Midcentury Modern furnishings in a fabulous up and coming spot!

The spot is called Temescal Alley.

The shop is called Lot 49 Urban Home Store.

Perry, the incredibly nice guy who owns and curates this little shop has only the best stuff at very reasonable prices.

He is a graphic designer by day (Monday through Friday) and a shop keeper on Thursday through Saturday.

Not only is his furniture and lighting fabulous, but he also has new pillows that he makes using ...

It's a must go and see in San Francisco! Cavalier

Jay Jeffers, the hottest interior designer in SF right now, and his partner Michael Purdy, who is the principal of Purdystyle, an independent consulting firm focusing on brand and product development for the creative community, have opened their new retail shop right in front of Jeffer's interior design firm's offices.

Introducing H

There is a great little shop that I happened to trip over in North Berkeley last week and I must tell you about it!

Shockingly, Howard Arendtson has owned this shop for 10 years and told me that people always come in and wonder if it's new...just like me!

The owner travels throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia sourcing large unique architectural elements and antiques to stock the shops.

Big Daddy's also has a large custom business. You pick the table base, they make t...

If you have never visited Heath Ceramics, you really must when you are in the area!

Heath has a rich history of producing hand made tiles and ceramics for over 50 years. Their tiles can be seen in famous restaurants such as Chez Panisse and The Slanted Door.

Edith Heath, an influential potter and designer of the Modernist era, started the company in 1948. In 2003 Robin Petravic and Catherine Bailey purchased and completely revitalized the company, adding beautiful new colors and designs.

You may be familiar with Nathan...he also has a home on Piedmont Avenue.

The little shop is stocked to the gills with interesting big and little items.

The front section has lots of cooking supplies and cookbooks, while the back has some REALLY FABULOUS jewelry that I wish I had a picture for you to see...excellent pricing on the jewelry as well!

Here are some aluminum pedestals with glass ...
